Biography

Julia obtained an MSc in Advanced Process Integration and Design at the University of Manchester in 2017, for which she received a Distinguished Achievement Award. At present, she is carrying out her PhD in the Centre of Process Integration (CPI), in collaboration with the SIS group and HighEFF (Norway). Prior to her studies, Julia was teacher assistant at Escuela Politecnica Nacional (Quito – Ecuador) where she worked on energy optimisation projects. Her research interests include utility and energy systems, Mixed Integer Linear Programming (MILP), sustainable integration of distributed energy and life cycle assessment.
