Project Overview

The main aim of this project was to develop a life cycle methodology and decision-support tools for calculating and reducing the carbon footprints of different industrial sectors along complete supply chains. The CCaLC tool is one of the main outputs of the project.

CCaLC is a carbon footprinting tool that enables quick and easy estimations of greenhouse gas emissions along the whole supply chains. It provides a powerful tool for reducing and managing carbon footprints of products, processes or supply chains with a methodological approach that follows the internationally accepted life cycle methodology as defined by ISO 14044 and PAS2050. The tool is simple to use by non-experts and it comes with comprehensive databases, including the Ecoinvent database. CCaLC is free of charge so visit www.ccalc.org.uk. for a free download now.
